Adventuring & Roaming

Adventuring and roaming is pretty much the same thing, the first is for HARPG donkeys and the later is for the Island donkeys. Feel free or go an adventure to roam in any of the biomes below (slightly different between HARPG and Island donkeys). Depending on where you go you can find different things. The adventuring/roamings don't have to be/take place where your donkey normally live (unless you want to of course).

For Island donkeys - don't worry if you for example have a donkey that normally live on the north side of the island or in the desert, it can still go to the beach or take a stroll around the lush farmlands if you want to try your luck there. Its however a bit unlikely for any type besides Pesha to be on the Pesha island due to the distance from the main island (unless they tackled the sea...not impossible but very dangerous!).

What do you need before the ride?

- An adventure/roaming journal (in sta.sh writer or public). This can also be the same as your normal tracker if you wish. At least so you have something to write down all of your found items. Here a MasterAss (or some call them Admins) will comment after your ride to let you know how your exploration ride turned out and what you found.
REMEMBER: This is your only official proof. If you delete the journal, all of your earned/found items will no longer be valid. Comments from anyone but an admin of The Drabardi Donkey group are not valid.

In the artist note you need to include this (for every donkey that is in the activity)

IF ISLAND Where on the map are you? (roughly):
Ok, I'm ready - what's next?

Get the tack and a map! Oh yeah...the donkey too of course... You can do a lot on your sweet ass ride! Perhaps you find some old ancient treasures, ruins, a dark and perhaps a little scary forest, an oasis in the desert or a cave - it can be anything! Perhaps you even stumble into a friend? You might even find your way into another world or another time! Anything is possible with a Drabardi - its so fantASStic! Style is up to you but the image/literature should be worked on and not rushed.

Small set of rules

  • - At least 75% of the donkey must be visible
  • - A semi-complex background is required
  • - Literature must be at least 1000 words
  • - Chapters and parts are allowed, but must have clear beginnings and ends.
  • - For collaborated literature RP the parts by each user must be clearly labeled, for art what each party did in the image. Literaturepieces must be 1200 words if collaborated.

Adventuring (HARPG)

Adventure Biomes

Draw or write about you and your Drabardi donkeys adventure ride. You could be investigating something new or be brave (don't worry - you have your lucky ass) and tackling different types of situations and terrain. What and if you find anything will be rolled randomly. You can find one to three items (some are extra lucky and can find more depending on their blessing).

  • - Beach -

  • - Forest -

  • - Mountains -

  • - Countryside -

  • - Town/City -

Roaming (Island)

Adventure Biomes

  • - Beach - Under the sea, under the sea....!
Ok, perhaps you are not going to roam directly under water but close, the beach. The most 'tropical' looking beaches you will find on Pesha even if the beaches at the south and west side of the Drabardi island are very nice too. So what will you find when you go out roaming on the beach? A pretty urchin, a simple seashell, perhaps a cool piece of coral or even something from a shipwreck? If you dare to go near the rocky cliffs - watch out for the blow holes!

  • - Forest - When you go out in the woods today, you better not go alone...
There isn't much of forest on the Drabardi island, but the medium sized fragments that are left however are protected - for now. It is a mixture of different tree types, from Pencil pines (mostly located on Pesha Island), Bunya pine (north), to White ironbark (near the south coast mountain ranges of Kanishthika and Tarjani), Rough-barked apple (east) and Desert Bloodwood (grows best in the arid climate bordering to the desert located in the middle of the island) to give a few examples. Be careful - there might be bears as well as ulvs about! The catamount is also known to lurk behind the trees.

  • - Mountains - Braaay-Ay-Ee-Oooo!
The Drabardi mountainous landscape forms a almost full circle ridge separating the inner parts of the island towards the sea. Only on the west side the seawinds have open access. In some places the terrain is relatively flat, consisting of very low hills. Typically the highlands range from 200 m to 1,000 m in height. Be careful - there might be catamounts about!

  • - Cave - Hallooo? Anyone there?
There are of course caves to be explored in the mountains, and the biggest and deepest are found in the Ratnavati mountain ranges. How far down do you dare to go? Is that just your shadow following you - or something else? Be careful - there might be something dangerous about!

  • - Grassland - Hooooome on the raaaangeee!
This is a flat, almost treeless, semi-arid plain that covers almost all of the inner parts of the Drabardi Island. It is mostly used for grazing livestock such as cattle and sheep. Here and there there are wind-powered water pumps that provide water for both livestock - and to some ranchers annoyance - wild donkeys. Be careful - there might be ulvs as well as humans about!

  • - Desert - Too hot to trot? Then you better walk... Try and conserve your energy!
Large portions of the Central desert (located in the Kalpana territory) are characterized by gravel-covered terrains covered in thin desert grasses as well as containing extensive areas of red sand plains and dune fields with low rocky ridges. The biggest threat here is the heat, the lack of shade and your own thirst. Perhaps if you are lucky you can find both shade and water by the base of Arshia - the rock that towers up in the center of the desert?

  • - Farmland - Old Manatee had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!
Located in the south, the farmlands can seem like a lush paradise, green and fertile. Here most crops are grown and the Barri is a trusty hard working companion on the fields. There are some rivers flowing down from the mountains, one of them collecting water in a lake before continuing towards the sea. Be careful - there are humans about, don't get caught!
