Stipple

Range

Stipple causes a spotted pattern along the underside of the donkeys body, which then 'fades' out to even smaller spots along the sides. On the underside they are tightly packed so each individual spot cant be seen, then the further up they come (passed the armpit and flank), the more space between the spots there will be.

It is a 'companion marking' to Grizzle in a way due to the fact they share some similarities, The Stipple is however much more condense than Grizzle and have more defined spots rather than speckles.

What type of edges on this marking

The edges of this marking should be made of hard-edged uneven spots/circles.

Do-Not's

  • - Spots can't be blurry
  • - Can't be any big 'peakholes' (with "big" you can compare it with the donkeys nostril, if its same size or bigger than that - its TOO big) on the donkeys underside (ie between spots), small ones are ok.
  • -

The group is flexible when it comes to the looks of the markings (since nature doesn't always follow the rules and goes by *strict* lines), so as long as your markings are similar to the examples you shouldn't have any issues. As long as the marking is still visually identifiable everything is good in the hood.
NOTE - if too many people abuse this, rules will become stricter.
