Walpurti

Range

Resembling the back-stripes of the Australian numbat, this marking applies 4 to 11 stripes across the donkey's hindquarters. Underneath the stripes sits an 'airbrushed' shadow. This 'shadow' patch can extend out onto the tail, but the stripes always stop on the rump.

The stripes on the back become shorter and fainter as they reach the mid-back. In its homozygous form walpurti can also cause facial stripe running from the muzzle over the eyes to the base of the ears. A blurred line will always sit below this eye stripe. At times the stripe can extend just a little up towards the ear but never far.

Red dun with walpurti.

What type of edges on this marking

The edges of the stripes are a little bit ragged, and you can used slightly textured brushes to draw them in. The dark shadow under the stripes is always blurred into the basecoat.

The group is flexible when it comes to the looks of the markings (since nature doesn't always follow the rules and goes by *strict* lines), so as long as your markings are similar to the examples you shouldn't have any issues. As long as the marking is still visually identifiable everything is good in the hood.
NOTE - if too many people abuse this, rules will become stricter.
